Euroclear has appointed Usman Ahmad as head of digital assets strategy, as the financial market infrastructure provider looks to strengthen its position in the growing digital assets market.
Ahmad most recently served as co-founding chief executive officer of Zodia Markets, where he built the institutional digital asset brokerage. Prior to that, he played a key role in growing OSL, one of the world’s first regulated digital asset market participants. Earlier in his career, he held roles at a number of banks.
Sebastien Danloy, chief business officer at Euroclear, said Ahmad’s experience across both traditional financial markets and digital assets “will be an important asset as we continue to develop our digital capabilities and support our clients in a rapidly evolving market.”
